My name is Brian and I have been gluten free since December 2015. Every weekend I used to throw back massive amounts of beer, Taco Bell and Wendy’s with my boys. Since going gluten free, I mostly just drink water and eat grilled chicken. This was a drastic change, not only for my diet, but for my lifestyle as well. Don’t get me wrong, I still like to enjoy a nice drink and love to snack. I just make sure that none of my snacks have any gluten or wheat in them.

From an early age, I suffered with various stomach problems. I would consistently have cramps and feel pain, but never knew why. I am very stubborn and refused to see a doctor, which I would never recommend to anyone – you should always see a doctor if you have any concerns regarding your health. Being the stubborn Irishman that I am, I figured that I would learn to live with my stomach problems.

As I got older, my stomach pains began to impact my life more and more. It would take me several hours to get ready to go out. I was always concerned about having stomach pains and problems while out at a bar with my friends or on a date with my girlfriend. Thankfully my friends took it in stride, and even though they teased me a little bit, they still hung out with me. I am also thankful that my girlfriend, who is now my fiance, has also put up with all my problems and has been supportive.

In late 2015, I discovered the book Wheat Belly by Dr. William Davis. I cut wheat and gluten out of my diet completely. That decision changed my life forever. My stomach pains and other issues have drastically subsided. Since cutting out gluten and wheat from my life was so beneficial for me, I figured I could share my experiences with others in hopes that it may help.

While gluten free products have become more easily accessible in recent years, there is still only so many gluten free products out there. Unfortunately, there are more bland and disgusting products, than great tasting ones. While you may feel like you are missing out on the “good stuff,” I hope that my reviews and insight will help you to find gluten free foods and snacks that you enjoy.
