FOUR BEST GLUTEN FREE BREAD CRUMBS

When I went gluten free I thought my days of fried chicken would be over. I was pretty much devastated at the thought of never eating chicken cutlets or chicken fingers ever again. One day when my fiance was dragging me through the grocery store one Sunday afternoon, I discovered gluten free bread crumbs and immediately had to try them. Now, over a year later I have had several different brands of gluten free bread crumbs. I’ve together this list of the five best gluten free bread crumbs that I’ve tried to date I use these bread crumbs to make fried chicken cutlets, meatballs and most importantly, meatloaf. You can always make your own homemade bread crumbs using your favorite gluten free bread but having pre-made bread crumbs definitely comes in handy

1. Ian’s Gluten Free Bread Crumbs

Ian’s makes the best gluten free bread crumbs I’ve tried so far. You cannot tell the difference between Ian’s gluten free bread crumbs and regular gluten packs bread crumbs. I typically use these gluten free bread crumbs to make fried chicken and it always comes out delicious. The Ian’s brand pride themselves on theses light, crunch and almost airy bread crumbs. The gluten free bread crumbs can be added to almost any dish you can think of without weighing down the dish or muddying the flavors. Another bonus feature is that these bread crumbs are “allergy-friendly.” Ian’s gluten free bread crumbs are made without wheat, gluten, milk, casein, eggs or nuts – so everyone can enjoy this culinary favorite!

2. Schar Gluten Free Bread Crumbsschar gluten free breadcrumbs

Schar is one of the top companies providing gluten free products around the world. Just like Ian’s. These bread crumbs are so delicious that you won’t be able to tell the difference between them and regular bread crumbs. There is no cornmeal taste that can happen with some other gluten free bread crumbs. These bread crumbs are great for making chicken nuggets and fingers. They also provide a good texture for meatballs. If you do make chicken fingers or nuggets with these bread crumbs any leftover that you may have will reheat well.

If you have a little leftovers they also reheat well. Non-gmo, dairy free, and preservative free. A very healthy great tasting gluten free breadcrumb. If you want to make it a little interesting you can mix it with some spices. Either way Schar gluten free bread crumbs is a great option.

4. Glutino Gluten Free Bread Crumbs

glutino gluten free breadcrumbs

Glutino has established itself as a stand out in the gluten free product realm. They actually make my favorite gluten free version of Oreo cookies, but we will leave that for another post. In my opinion, the best part about Glutino gluten free bread crumbs is the short and simple ingredient list. Cornmeal and sugar. A little goes a long way with these gluten free bread crumbs. Be careful not to use too much or your food will have a bit of an odd, cornmeal after taste.

It’s a very simple ingredient list with just two ingredients cornmeal and sugar. Don’t over apply, a little goes a long way especially in the stuffings. If you use too much it leaves an odd aftertaste.
